A4D’s Oren Korenblum is back in New York City for a few weeks to teach at Steps On Broadway’s Adv/Beg Tap at 2:15pm on Thursdays for the next 3 weeks.
In fact, for his December 1 class, a portion of the fees were donated to Dancers Responding to AIDS; the dance community’s first ongoing effort to support those living with HIV/AIDS; the dance community’s first ongoing effort to support those living with HIV/AIDS.
It’s a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. And Steps matched the donations!
With even more great news, Oren is pleased to announce he recently won the 2022 Carbonell Award for Outstanding Choreography for his work for the new musical, Come Out! Come Out! As this season’s resident choreographer for The Wick Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida, Oren has completed choreographing Milk and Honey and Roger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. He’ll return to The Wick to choreograph 2023’s productions of Anything Goes and Damn Yankees to complete their season of musicals. After the dark days of the industry shutdown and the uncertainty that surrounded live theatre, Oren has enjoyed a professional renaissance filled with so many amazing accomplishments.
