Few things validate dancers more than booking jobs. Whenever it happens, all of the training, hard work, and commitment that's invested seems to say, "yes, you're on the right track you've been chosen to perform work that you love and be paid for it! You're a working dancer!" When members share any part of that experience with us, we too get a lift. It's a win-win for everybody. Here are some examples that came in. Enjoy. LAUREN GOTTLIEB MADE IT TO TOP 6
Lauren Gottlieb, an A4D member who made it to the top 6 on Season 3 of So You Think You Can Dance has booked the Mariah Carey tour. Lauren recently appeared with 7 other dancers with Mariah Carey on Good Morning America in New York City. Next up on their calendar, Dubai and Japan!



A4D MEMBER DONS HER FISHNETS & FEATHERS
Deana Morgan is a 44-year old dancer who runs a dance academy in Yorkshire, England. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in Oct 2006 and following surgery, responded to an ad which read, "Are you over 40? Do you miss your fishnets and feathers?" She came out of retirement and became a "Golden Girl" in a professional show last summer, and was then asked to appear in a Golden Rainbow Charity fund raiser in Las Vegas - she became a Vegas showgirl at the age of 44!

EMILY AMERICANIZES ‘SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE GREECE’
Member Emily Dann found the audition for So You Think You Can Dance Greece on Answers4Dancers.com. She auditioned and was accepted onto the show for an odyssy to Greece that lasted 4 months, making the show's cut week after week, down to the last 8 couples (the season began with 26 dancers - 16 women and 10 men). When the SYTYCD Greece website posted Emily's departure, they referred to her as "one of the most popular participants" - a high compliment. The show afforded her a great launching pad for her career, and she returned to the USA ready to take everything she learned and use it as she entered the next phase in pursuit of her dance dreams.

Adriani Paterson (MSA) booked the Miss Vietnam USA pagaent at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino Theater in Las Vegas. She writes to us, "Answers4Dancers has motivated me to always seek auditions and work, in addition to that which my agent does. We as dancers need to be looking too! We can't expect our agents to do all the work. Answers4Dancers is so great because it gives me another outlet to find auditions and fill the niches that are right for me."



A4D MEMBER DANCES HER WAY TO $10,000
Mary Gentry writes [edited]: "I won $10,000! All I had to do was dance and ask my friends/fans to vote for me online. I am a full-time college student in Fairfax, Va., and cannot afford to miss a class to audition for So You Think You Can Dance. I tried Famecast and thanks to everyone in the dance world I won!!! Famecast flew me to Austin, Texas, all expenses paid, when I made it to the last round, the Top 5. I would love for all dancers to know about this. AUDITION ALERT PAYS OFF FOR
TONYA KAY!
When "short-notice" auditions come in, we always generate an "alert" to members. Last week, a call came in seeking tap dancers for a commercial to be shot in Japan. Minutes after reaching Tonya Kay's inbox, she took action. Within hours of submitting her demo reel, she was booked for the gig. Before boarding a flight to Tokyo, Tonya called to say how happy she was to get the alert and another new job experience. YES, WE LIKE IT, TOO TONYA! Once again, member advantages pay off.

Nikki Blackwell wrote to us last week, "I just booked a ballerina role on a children's series/pilot that shoots in December. I'm having so much fun meeting the greatest people. All the dancers I've worked with have been so nice."

When MuvTV covered an audition for L.A.'s Hysterica Dance Company, our cameras quickly discovered that the moves of 17-year-old Denna Thomsen from Colorado were catching the eyes of company directors, Kitty McNamee and Ryan Heffington. When we interviewed Denna, we learned that she recently joined A4D as a member and this was her first attempt to gain entry to the west coast job market.
