In 2006, Malerie Grady attended her first A4D workshop. In this first vid, you'll see the first impression she made on workshop leaders while performing choreographer Tovaris Wilson's "contemporary" combo. Later the same day, her performance of a hip hop combo caught the attention of Aisha Francis, one of Beyonce's dancers. Aisha's reactions were recorded in this vid. In 2007, Malerie returned to the workshop with specific goals in mind to get her career launched. Here's Tonya Kay's interview with her. By 2008, Malerie had secured agent representation and added a number of professional credits to her resume, including two with award-winning choreographer Marguerite Derricks. Feeling more secure, Malerie felt confident enough to give up a part-time job to concentrate exclusively on dance opportunities. It's easy to see why six different agencies expressed interest in Malerie at the 2008 Workshop/Showcase. "In the three years I've known her," says Grover Dale, "Malerie has definitely created her own success story and A4D is proud to have played a role in it..." Like Malerie, you, too can benefit from the A4D advantage. For less than the cost of a movie ticket each month, the right tools and the right opportunities can be at your fingertips.
