THE SCOOP ON TOURING WITH JANET JACKSON

A4D's focus on pop tours just got a major boost from Janet Jackson. Last November, her choreographer Gil Dulduldao suggested that we cover his "invitation-only audition." This exclusive opportunity didn't stop with one audition. It led to a series of one-on-one interviews between our reporter Suzy Miller and ten dancers, Janet Jackson, Gil's assistant Bethany "Peanut" Strong, and Gil himself. It didn't take long to realize that we had an informational bonanza on our hands. For weeks, Suzy delivered an amazing collection of insights that Grover Dale has shaped into a remarkable employment guide that goes directly to the realities impacting hiring practices, artist-to-dancer interaction, day-to-day operations, and life on the road. We're thrilled. Career guidance just doesn't get much better than this!

All six chapters will be given visual boosts with on-site, moment-by-moment photographs. Grover wants dancers to get as close to the experience as possible. In addition, two interactive chapters will be added. By interactive, we mean that one will feature the reactions of Suzy and Grover to the process, while the other features the reactions of A4D members to what they've seen and read.
