Don Lockwood: Male 25-35, all ethnicities – Actors' Equity performers will be considered for this role. Handsome song & dance leading man; must sing and dance (especially tap) extremely well; vocal range: G2-Ab4. Cosmo Brown: Male 20-35, all ethnicities – Actors' Equity performers will be considered for this role. High energy, very athletic comedian; must sing and dance (especially tap) extremely well; tumbling & acrobatic ability a plus, vocal range: C3-Ab4. Prepare 16 bars of a classic music theatre song. Bring sheet music/headshot/resume. No a cappella or tracks. Bring tap shoes. Bring picture and resume. First rehearsal March 28th; Opens April 29th and runs through May 29, 2016. Casting performers for the Broadway, touring and international productions of Disney's "Aladdin" and "The Lion King." Currently running on Broadway and touring. Seeking "The Lion King" Singers : 18+, All Ethnicities: strong male and female singers who move very well to be in the ensemble and to cover or replace lead roles; “The Lion King" Dancers : 18-35, All Ethnicities: strong dancers with a modern/ballet dance background; Children : 9-12, All Ethnicities: for "The Lion King;" between 52"-58" in height; can sing, dance and act to play the African lion cubs "Simba" and "Nala." No performance experience necessary. "The Lion King" Singers: Prepare your best 16 bars (approximately 30 seconds - with sheet music) of a R&B, pop, or rock-and-roll song that best showcases your voice and range. Do not sing material from "The Lion King" or standard Broadway theater music. A Cappella (no music backing) is acceptable. A pianist will be provided. "The Lion King" Dancers: Be warmed up and ready by the start time. Wear form-conscious clothing appropriate for dancing, plus flat jazz shoes or bare feet. You may be asked to sing, so bring a contemporary song that shows off your voice and range. Bring sheet music. A Cappella (no music backing) is acceptable. Children: Be prepared to be taught the last verse of "Just Can't Wait to be King." All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians must remain at the audition site at all times. Be prepared to wait.
