McCoy/Rigby Entertainment is casting “Empire.” 12/14/15 First Rehearsal, 1/10/15 load in/tech, 1/23/15 Press Opening, 2/14/15 Closing (Christmas and New Years Day off). Solid comic instincts, and strong soprano, with pop belt to a solid E, who can move well/dance; Al Smith, 50’s/60’s. Based on the real NYC ex-governor. A charismatic, promoter, fun and joyful. A terrific comic, mature baritone/tenor to a solid Ab who can move well; Betty Raskob, 20’s, high-spirited, engaged, fun-loving and capable rich girl who could also pass as a construction worker. An alto with a wide range to a solid D, who can dance; Ethan O’Dowd, 20’s, an Irish immigrant who works construction to support his family. KING & ILyric Opera of Chicago is casting “The King & I.” The rehearsal and performance period for The King and I is from Monday, April 4 through Sunday, May 22, 2016. Choreo: Peggy Hickey. Seeking AGMA/Equity/non-union singers AND AGMA/Equity/non-union dancers for the upcoming production of KING AND I. Applicants of Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander descent are particularly encouraged to audition. All ethnicities are welcome. PLEASE NOTE: applicants must possess physical stamina. Portions of the show involve extensive time spent on knees, in a bowing position; ensemble members will also perform barefoot and men will be bare-chested at times. These auditions are primarily for the singing and dancing ensemble, but some, small, named roles will be cast from the members of the ensemble. Possible musical excerpts will be distributed upon succesful registration, once invited to audition. Please be prepared to sing 16 bars of Rodgers and Hammerstein or similar (both singers and dancers). Contract: Other AGMA; $1096.50 (Per AGMA CBA with LOC).
