LOPEZ FOLLOWS TYLER OFF 'AMERICAN IDOL' Jennifer Lopez followed Steven Tyler's lead off AMERICAN IDOL. She will not be back for a 3rd year on TV's top-rated but struggling show. The panel is down to original judge Randy Jackson. Lopez broke the news to "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest on his radio show. "I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do that I've put kind of on hold because I love 'Idol' so much." The show's ratings have declined as TV's talent show field has grown more competitive. Speculation about potential new panelists has focused on Mariah Carey.
COMIC-CON REVEALS 'GLEE' SEASON 4 TIDBITS Finn (Cory Monteith) will start season 4 in the army, while his ex-fiancé Rachel (Lea Michele) will be struggling to take Manhattan by storm, alone. Kate Hudson will play her dance instructor, whose teaching style is based on negative reinforcement. Kurt (Chris Colfer) will find himself still in Lima, but he might turn up in NY with Rachel, and his relationship with Blaine (Darren Criss) will be a "new adventure." Although Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays) are still "very much in love" and "living together and doing dirty things," Schue now has to worry about getting a full choir group together in time for sectionals, à la season 1.

SYTYCD: MARY LEAVING? On last week's SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, Cat Deeley accidentally slipped and called current judge Mary Murphy the name of former judge Mia Michaels. Awkward, but no big whoop, right? Is Mary getting replaced by Mia next season, and did Cat know something we don't? Multiple sources have reported that there are no plans for Mary to exit SYTYCD. "Mary is our resident judge," a show insider states, "She is not going anywhere."

MADONNA SUED OVER "VOGUE" VMG, a company out of Delaware, has filed suit against Madonna and her record label over the 1990 hit "Vogue," claiming Madonna sampled portions of a composition called "Love Break," which was released around 1977. The company claims, "The portions of "Love Break, which have been copied into Vogue and all its various 'mixes,' 'remixes' videos, YouTube versions, etc. are numerous but intentionally hidden. The horn and strings in 'Vogue' are intentionally sampled from 'Love Break' throughout. The unauthorized sampling was deliberately hidden by [Madonna] within 'Vogue' so as to avoid detection."
'SOUL TRAIN' TO BWAY NBA star-turned-entrepreneur Earvin 'Magic' Johnson plans to bring SOUL TRAIN to Bway as a musical. Johnson purchased the Soul Train brand in 2011 to revive it for TV, print and stage outlets, and has been working with investors to actively move forward with a musical. Johnson had a hand in producing this year's short-lived MAGIC/BIRD on Bway, which was based on his rivalry and friendship with Larry Bird. In its 35-year history, SOUL TRAIN primarily featured performances by R&B, soul, and hip hop performers, along with funk, jazz, disco, and gospel artists.

The pop star tweeted a link to her provocative new perfume campaign, leaving little to the imagination. In the black-and-white shot, Gaga wears a black face mask and nothing else. There appear to be tiny men climbing up the singer's lithe figure, strategically covering up her private areas. She tweeted, "...I'm so proud of Steven [Klein, the photographer] and I, we really did not sleep!" She stated last year that her signature scent will smell "like an expensive hooker."
