Free Audition #1 INVERTIGO DANCE THEATRE
LA AUDITIONS  Looking for dancers who are technically strong, versatile and dynamic to join the Invertigo family for future performances. Choreo: Laura Karlin. Dancers must have training in contemporary, modern, ballet and/or jazz, and should have experience with improvisation, partnering and ensemble work. We work collaboratively, and it's important that a dancer is able to be both a powerful individual and a supportive team member. Looking for people who have both a strongly developed, deeply rooted individual voice as well as a sense of empathy and ability to work with others. All company members are encouraged to bring their own styles and experiences to the process, but they also need to be able to take direction, learn movement and trust in the process. Registration and space to warm-up open at 9am. Bring kneepads, if you like, for floorwork. Please bring a resume and photo. Callbacks will be held on Sun, June 2 from 10am-1pm. Free Audition #2 BRIDGE 2 BROADWAY
LOS ANGELES AUDITIONS Casting numerous staged readings for the New Works Festival and a fully staged production of new musical "Higher Education." On a mission to guide mere high school seniors through a major life transition, "Higher Education" sees veteran ethereal guardians descend to Earth on a madcap journey that empowers the students to discover more about themselves than they could ever imagine. Bridge 2 Broadway nurtures the development of new theatrical works in an incubation environment, giving original musicals the time and exposure they deserve to grow, and teams Broadway veterans with local artists to mentor the next generation of working theatre professionals. Performances run June 17-July 21 at the Margaret A. Webb Theatre in Santa Ana, CA. Choreo: Galen Hooks. All roles open. SINGERS: Prepare 16-32 bars of a contemporary musical theater song. DANCERS: Be warmed-up and wear proper dance attire and shoes. Equity Guest Artist Contract; Pay also provided for non-union actors.
