After posting Angela Henderson’s story last week, we were thrilled to hear from George Chakiris, the Oscar winning dancer best known for his role as Bernardo in 'West Side Story.'
This week, we continue Angela's story of how she got her career started with Answers4dancers. By applying the tips she got through membership, Angela began the journey of living out her dreams. A4D MEMBERS ATTEND CLASS WITH GROVER DALE
Grover was on hand to observe Jason Wise's Musical Theater Class this past Sunday. A4D member Emily Dann commented, 'This was a great way to meet fellow A4Ders and take class at the same time. It was full of really good audition advice which is not easy to find in other classes. Things like not using the mirror as a crutch, learning combos at a very fast pace, and performing during regular class to get yourself in the right mindset for auditions were all great takeaways.'
Grover reminded everyone that a 'complete presence' in the room is just as important as the ability to dance. 'Lighting up from the inside,' he claims, 'shows choreographers you've got the potential they're looking for.' In seconds, he stepped onto the floor and showed dancers exactly how to do it.
