Sharing works. Whether it happens In Grover’s kitchen, a dance studio, or a neighborhood Starbucks, the results consistently surprise the heck out of us. At the July 24 Meet-Up, A4D's Suzy Miller backed Grover into a corner and probed him for ‘insights’ about his first movie role in ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown.’ She got the truth. So did a dozen other dancers in the room.
Grover gave himself permission to ‘risk everything’ in front of the cameras. He decided to go for it. That was only part of the pay-off. A year later, the same performance secured a co-starring role with Gene Kelly in ‘The Young Girls Of Rochefort.’ The benefits didn’t stop there.
A4Ders... in various states of hope and laughter... took it all in. Thankfully, Garrett Minniti's cameras were rolling and recorded all the personal treasures that surfaced. Take a look at all the fun that was captured.
The September 18 Meet-Up is just around the corner. More details coming soon. Stay tuned!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE RETURNS AFTER SUMMER OLYMPICS END AND ONE MORE DANCER IS SENT HOME For this week, the Top 6 performed once alongside their all-star in their genre of dance, they were partnered together in a new genre, plus they performed a solo. The show is really enjoyable when the All-Star dances with their partner, but as soon as Cat described Emma and J.T.’s contemporary routine as ‘romantic,’ it spelled trouble. These are the two tiniest contestants and it doesn’t make sense to put this expectation on them, but with Travis Wall as the choreographer, there was a glimmer of hope it might work. Only it seemed it was too much to ask of these kids but it was a cute and age-appropriate number. What a surprise to see DWTS’ Mark Ballas choreograph a Jive for Ruby. She did a great job with it and she got to show her fun side in this dance. Before the elimination, Cat informed the audience that next week marks the show’s 250th episode and Travis Wall and Maddie Ziegler will be performing together. And then without warning, we had to say goodbye to the final ballroom dancer in the group; the effervescent 12-year old Ruby Castro along with pro partner Paul Karmiryan. Something tells us we will be seeing this young ballroom dynamo again very soon.

Also not returning is long-time pro, Kym Johnson who announced that she will not return to the show as a pro, but hopes to remain associated with it in some capacity. Kym recently married her former partner and Shark Tank star Robert Herjavec. And the biggest news about the upcoming season? Embroiled Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is in negotiations with ABC to join the cast of Season 23!
