Miracle on 34th Street in Muncie, Indiana seeking Actor/Singer/Dancers of all ethnicities, ages and types. (Local Hires. While we will gladly see anyone interested in auditions, please note that at this time we are only able to hire local actors from Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana.)

We will NOT be seeing children at this call. There will be a specific call for child performers on another day. All roles and understudies available. Seeking: KRIS KRINGLE: He is Santa Claus. Likable, firm, caring. Loves children. FRED GAILEY: Friend/Neighbor to Doris and Susan; Kringle’s defense attorney; all around good guy. R.H. MACY: Owner and manager of Macy’s Department Store. DORIS WALKER: Personnel Manager at Macy’s; Susan’s mother. MARVIN SHELLHAMMER: Assistant to Doris. Friendly, efficient.

Ensemble includes: JUDGE HARPER: Presides over Kringle’s hearing; Judicial; likable. SAWYER: Macy’s store psychologist. D.A. MARA: Prosecuting attorney; somewhat jaded; sticks to the letter of the law. HALLORAN: Judge Harper’s political campaign manager. BAILIFF: Bailiff in Judge Harper’s court. MISS CROOKSHANK: Mr. Sawyer’s secretary, AND: Drunk Santa, Postal Workers, Parents who visit Santa, Pedestrians, Photographers, Courtroom Crowd, Parade Workers and Carolers.

Be warmed up and prepared to dance at call time. Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show in case you are asked to stay and sing. Provide a copy of your picture/resume for us to keep. Salary: CAT 3.5+; $487/wk.

Holiday Inn in Buffalo Grove, IL seeking union and nonunion dancers/ singers for the Marriott Theatre's upcoming production of "Holiday Inn." Specifically seeking performers with strong tap training who sing. All ethnicities are strongly encouraged to audition.

1st Rehearsal: October 18, 2018, 1st Performance: November 7, 2018, Tentative Closing: January 6, 2019. Marriott Theatre. Minimum age: 18. Locally based dancers/singers only at this time (must have housing in the Chicagoland area).

Seeking: Jim Hardy: performer and singer-songwriter eager to leave showbiz behind for a simpler life on a farm in Connecticut, 30s (lyric baritone). Ted Hanover: Jim’s best friend and performing partner; charming ladies man looking for his big break, 30s (lyric baritone). Lila Dixon: determined performer and Jim’s mismatched fiancée, 30s (high belt). Danny: Jim, Ted and Lila’s agent, 30s to 50s. Charlie Winslow: a precocious bank messenger, age 9 to 12. Linda Mason: a school teacher with the hidden talents of a singer and dancer, 30s (belt/mix). Louise: the local “fix it” woman; tough, no nonsense and extremely perceptive, forties to fifties (belt). Ensemble: varied

ECC Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Bring tap and character shoes, and male-identifying dancers should bring knee pads. To be considered for a principal role (Ted, Lila, Linda), you should attend this open dance call. Bring one 16-bar song (equivalent to one minute in length) and a second contrasting selection in case the artistic team needs to hear more. Bring music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring an updated headshot/resume.
